Marie has almost 30 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, with over 20 years dedicated to the air and ground ambulance industry. Her commitment to her clients shines as she works relentlessly to ensure their financial success while upholding strict compliance standards.
Throughout her career, she has cultivated a deep understanding of ambulance coding and insurance data management, enabling her to address the unique challenges of the EMS industry. Her ability to identify process inefficiencies, implement tailored solutions, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards leads to faster payment cycles and improved financial health for her clients.
During Marie’s tenure at CareFlite, she played a pivotal role in driving financial stability and operational excellence. Her dedication was evident in the countless nights and weekends she spent developing and implementing comprehensive strategies to streamline billing processes, minimize claim denials, and optimize revenue cycles. By identifying inefficiencies and developing solutions, Marie drove significant improvements in cash flow and accelerated payment timelines, ensuring their financial health and sustainability.
When Marie transitioned from full-time employment at CareFlite in 2012 to establish her own billing company, CareFlite promptly became one of her first clients. Having experienced firsthand her unparalleled billing expertise and remarkable ability to secure timely and complete payments, they trusted her to continue driving their financial success. Her initiatives not only increased reimbursement rates but also laid a solid foundation for their long-term financial stability. Under her leadership, CareFlite achieved remarkable financial success.
In 2009, Marie made history as the first in the United States to obtain the of Certified Ambulance Coder (CAC) designation. She is also a Certified Ambulance Privacy Officer (CAPO), Certified Ambulance Compliance Officer (CAPO), and Certified Ambulance Documentation Specialist (CADS).
